Fishing trip go/no-go checklist: decide before you drive.

A forecast is not a promise. The useful question is simpler: does this specific spot have enough stacked signals to justify loading the gear? Use this checklist to make a clear go, maybe, or no-go call before you burn the morning.

Boundary: This asset is educational and app-positioning content. It is not medical, legal, safety-critical, navigation, workplace-compliance, or relationship-therapy advice.

The fast go/no-go rule

Go when the trip has at least three strong signals: fishable weather, useful light, moving water or relevant structure, and a BiteScore or personal log history that supports the window. Call it maybe when only one or two signals line up. Call it no-go when safety, access, wind, lightning, regulations, or exhaustion make the plan dumb.

How CatchTime fits

CatchTime is useful as the private planning board: spot, weather context, moon and solunar timing, tide card where supported, BiteScore, and a simple outing log. It should help you decide. It should not pretend it can guarantee fish.

Print this as a field card

Before leaving: spot, tide, wind, light, pressure, lure/bait, time limit. After returning: caught, skunked, did not fish, species, notes. The after-trip line is what makes the next decision less random.
