Privacy: nothing leaves your iPhone

PostReady Dual Recorder Camera runs entirely on your iPhone. There is no account, no sign-in, no cloud upload, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking SDKs, the app does not connect to any server. Your recordings are yours, on your device. This page explains exactly what each permission is for, so "private" is a specific, checkable claim rather than a slogan.

What each permission is actually used for

Permission What it's used for What it is NOT used for
Camera Recording your video Nothing else; no background capture
Microphone Recording audio with your video (you can turn audio off) Nothing else
Photos (add-only) Saving the videos you choose to keep It cannot read or browse your existing library

Camera and microphone are used only while you're recording. If you toggle audio off, the microphone isn't used at all.

Photos access is add-only. This is the key detail: PostReady can write the videos you decide to save into your Photos library, but the add-only permission means it cannot read your existing photos or videos. It's a deliberately narrow grant, save what you keep, see nothing else.

No network, no tracking, and how you can tell

The app does not connect to any server. There's no account to create, nothing to log in to, no cloud sync, no ad network, and no analytics or tracking SDK embedded. Because there's no account and no server connection, there's simply no pipe for your footage or your usage to leave the device. That's the architecture, not a promise to behave.

How local recovery works (and why it's still private)

Reliability and privacy can coexist. If a save to your Photos library fails for some reason, PostReady keeps the recorded file locally on the device so you can retry the save instead of losing the take. That recovery file lives on your iPhone, it is not sent anywhere. It's there so a failed Photos write doesn't cost you a recording, full stop.

What this means in practice

  • You can record without creating an account or handing footage to anyone's cloud.
  • Your videos stay on your device until you save or share them through your own tools.
  • There's no analytics profile of how you use the app, because there's no analytics SDK collecting one.
  • Support needs no login, if something's wrong, you email and describe it.

Subscription and policies

PostReady is local-only; the only thing that touches Apple's systems is the optional Pro purchase, handled by Apple's StoreKit. Pro is offered as Monthly, Yearly (with optional 7-day free trial for new subscribers), or Lifetime; pricing is shown in the app and set by Apple in local currency; subscription auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period; cancel any time in iPhone Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. Full details are in the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
